Version 5.2.4
Version 5.2.4 is a significant release that adds over 20 new features to CueServer and CueServer Studio. In addition, over 60 general improvements and bug fixes are included as well. Focus areas surround a new CIE color picker, 2-Wire Station Bus Module support, live Smart Module monitoring, WebSocket-based API 2.0, and overall stability. Version 5.2.4 is compatible with all CueServer 2 and CueServer 3 hardware and is recommended for all v5.0.0 and later users.
- Significant Feature Additions
- Feature Added a new CIE Color Picker that uses emitter data in GDTF profiles to perform more advanced color matching and utilizes all of a fixture’s available emitters.
- Feature Added Module Status Monitoring in the Live Status panel and the LCD Display Menu to monitor the operational status of installed Smart Modules.

- Bug Fixed an issue that could cause the renaming of a resource to fail in certain circumstances on CueServer 3 hardware.
- Navigator Window
- New A rewrite of the Navigator Window has improved its performance, and fixed a few bugs listed below.
- Bug Fixed issue of devices sometimes not being able to reconnect after network interruption and/or device reboot.
- Bug Fixed issue of CueServers appearing with hierarchical triangle (for revealing shows) before being fully connected.
- Bug Fixed issues related to having a local CueServer also added as a remote CueServer not updating its metadata correctly.
- Bug Fixed issue with Add Remote window sometimes displaying “0” in the Port field.
- Bug Fixed a problem that could occur if multiple devices are discovered with the same serial number.

- JavaScript Interpreter
- Bug Fixed an issue that prevented incoming Serial Port strings from being correctly forwarded to the JavaScript interpreter on CueServer 3 hardware when the port is set to “Use for Plugins”.
- GDTF Interpreter
- New Process embedded spectral data for each of a Fixture’s emitters.
- Bug Addressed an issue that was not correctly determining the default value for fixture channels in certain circumstances.
- Bug Fixed an issue that could mis-interpret which emitters are actually implemented for a particular fixture.
- Smart Modules
- New Added support for the new 2 Wire Station Bus Module.
- New If the 5 Wire Station Bus Module detects a network short or overload condition, the module will now briefly shut down and a warning message will appear in the System Log. After a delay of about 8 seconds, the module will begin testing to see if the network fault has been resolved and will restore power to the network.
- Bug Fixed a problem that could cause incorrect data to be sent to a MIDI Module if both a Serial Module and a MIDI Module are installed in the same CueServer.
- Bug Fixed an issue with the IO8 module that could cause one or more outputs to not function properly in certain circumstances.
- LCD Display
- New When switching active shows, the display will now change to the new default Home Screen, if it is different from the previous show file.
- Bug Fixed an issue that was preventing the Lock Screen from refreshing when changing active shows.
- Function Buttons
- Bug Fixed a problem that could cause the indicator colors of the built-in Function Buttons to not refresh properly when switching active show files.
