Version 5.1.1 is a maintenance release for all CueServer models with 45 important bug fixes and improvements. It is a recommended update for all v5.0.0 and later users.
- Navigator Window
- Bug If a single CueServer with Dual-LAN mode enabled can be reached via two different IP addresses, the device now shows up as two separate lines in the Navigator.
- Bug Addressed an issue that could cause connection problems to a CueServer if the CueServer’s IP address changes after appearing in the list.
- Bug Fixed a problem where the ‘Delete’ key on the keyboard was able to delete show files without confirming that the show file is not currently in use.
- Editor Window
- Bug Resolved an issue that was preventing the CueScript command line from gaining focus when clicking on the console area for the first time.
- Bug Fixed a cosmetic issue with the vertical alignment of the CueScript/JavaScript command line on certain operating systems.
- Bug Addressed a problem that could prevent Audio clips or Web content from being uploaded into a show file if the file is missing the appropriate subdirectories.
- Bug Corrected an issue introduced in v5.1.0 that could allow a non-functional Editor Window to appear on a password protected CueServer without entering the correct password.
- Stage View
- Bug Fixed an issue that would cause a rendering glitch if the Stage Grid is in View by Fixture mode and the first fixture is not in Universe 1.
- CPU Info Palette Window
- Bug The default window size has been updated to properly fit the window’s contents.
- Cue/Preset Editor
- New Names of groups are now shown in the Effect filters list.
- Bug Groups are now selectable again in the Cue Editor.
- Bug When saving changes to a Preset, CueServer will now properly reload that Preset’s rules.
- Bug Improved drawing of direct value editing.
- Bug Prevent “Enter” key from saving the Cue when directly editing a channel value.
- Shared Controls
- Bug Fixed issues related to Copy/Paste of Buttons/Contacts into the Shared Controls panel.
- Layout Editor
- New Added “auto-alignment” feature when dragging controls in a layout.
- New Added several additional inline-help popups.
- New Fixed a problem with control functions that specify specific playback faders.
- New Implemented the ability to edit a label by double-clicking on it.
- Touchscreen Engine
- New Added Weather object.
- New Improved the touchscreen sensitivity of a Slider control that has been assigned a very narrow track and border width.
- New User-defined variable-based labels on buttons changed on one station are now updated on all other stations referring to the same variable.
- Bug Fixed an issue that was preventing inline variable substitutions to update live.
- Bug Fixed a problem that caused the station simulators for CS-900 and CS-920 hardware to display a CS-3900 model.
- Bug Addressed an issue that could cause touchscreens to remain in a perpetual “Loading” state after the active show is changed by the user.
- Bug Updated the Loading screen to match the Loading screen displayed by Insite panels.
- Bug Improved the Fixture object to reflect a fixture’s intensity when it does not contain any color elements.
- Rules
- Bug Fixed a regression introduced in v5.1.0 that prevented Global Power-On and Show Loaded events from executing on CueServer 3 hardware.
- CueScript
- Bug Addressed a problem where commands like
PRESS,RELEASE,TOGGLE,ATwas not following Button/Contact/Control Pointers.

- Fixture Patch
- Bug Fixed a regression introduced in v5.1.0 that could cause a crash if the user quickly switches away from the Fixture Patch panel while it is still loading.
- Bug Fixed a problem that prevented the scroll arrows on the Channel field in the Patch window from incrementing beyond Channel 512.
- CueScript Settings
- Bug Fixed a problem that caused the IP Address field to not appear on Windows when choosing “Allow From IP Address” in UDP section of the CueScript settings.
- Playback Settings
- Bug Addressed an issue that prevented playback settings from being editing when working with offline shows.
- Bug Fixed a bug that caused the wrong values to appear in playback settings when working with an inactive show on a live CueServer.
- Module Settings
- Bug Fixed auto-configuration for SM-RS485 modules.
- Plugins
- New Updated the Lutron QS plugin to v1.0.3, which adds a user field to support NWK and NWK2.
- New Updated the TCP Client plugin to v1.0.2, which improves reliability and performance.
- New Removed the Email Dispatcher plugin, as the service it depended on no longer supports plugins of this type.
- Show Database
- Bug In rare cases when the active show file has been removed from the SD Card without CueServer’s knowledge, an issue has been resolved that might prevent CueServer from starting up properly.
- System Log
- Bug Fixed a problem that would erase the system log on a CueServer 3 when choosing the option to simply clear the message indicator.
- GDTF Distiller
- New Channels that are missing from fixture profiles are now imported as “No Feature” channels to prevent the fixture from having non-contiguous channels.
- Module Hardware
- Bug Fixed an issue that was preventing SM-RS485 modules from being able to transmit data.
- Network Info Window
- Bug Fixed a Windows regression that caused no network interfaces from appearing.
- Insite Touchscreen
- New Studio now includes Insite firmware v1.1.3 to support the latest Insite hardware revision.
- Crash Reporter
- Bug The crash reporter window now properly sends user reports to our servers for review.
